Early life and early career:
On July 17, 1976, in Leesburg, Georgia, a boy named Thomas Luther “Luke“Bryan was born. A peanut farmer named Tommy was Tommy’s father. He planned to move to Nashville, Tennessee when he was just 19 years old. His older brother Chris, meanwhile, was tragically killed in a car crash.
Bryan instead moved to Statesboro, Georgia, where he attended Georgia Southern University following a family tragedy. He was awarded his bachelor’s degree in business administration in 1999, and he eventually moved to Nashville two years later.
Bryan worked for a publishing company in Nashville after arriving in the city. Travis Tritt and Billy Currington were among the artists he wrote songs for early in his career in the music industry. An A&R representative approached Bryan at a club and offered him a contract with Capitol Records Nashville.

Its debut single, “All My Friends Say”, co-written with producer Jeff Stevens, peaked at number five on the Hot Country Songs chart. Bryan co-wrote or co-wrote 11 of the 12 songs on his debut album, “I’ll Stay Me”, released in August 2007. The album’s singles “We Rode in Trucks” and “Country Man” peaked at positions 33 and 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
In October 2009, Bryan released his second album, “I do my thing.” Bryan wrote both “Rain Is a Good Thing” and “Someone Else Calling You Baby” with Dallas Davidson and Jeff Stevens. On the country music charts, both songs rose to number one.
“Country Girl (Shake It for Me”), Bryan and Davidson’s collaboration on the single, was released in February 2011. That year, he released the single “Country Girl” from his third studio album, “Tailgates & Tanlines”, in August. The album debuted atop the Billboard 200 and Top Country Albums charts.
First, “Spring Break 2…Hangover Edition”, followed by “Spring Break 3…It’s a Shore Thing”, then “Spring Break 4…Suntan City”, and finally “Spring Break with All My Friends” (2012). A compilation album titled “Spring Break…Here to Party” was announced for release in January 2013 by Bryan, featuring songs from his previous “Spring Break” EPs and two new songs. On the Billboard 200, it debuted at number one for a second straight week in March 2013. It was the first time he had a top-notch album across any genre.
In August 2013, he released “Crash My Party”, his fourth studio album. Songs “crash my party‘, ‘That’s My Kind of Night’ and ‘Drink a Beer’ were all major hits for the band. This year he released “Spring Break 6…Like We Ain’t Ever”, his sixth Spring Break EP.
At Spinnaker Beach Club, he celebrated his sixth straight performance during spring break on the same day. He released his latest Spring Break EP, “Spring Break…Checkin’ Out,” in March 2015. His fifth studio album, “Kill the Lights,” was released in May 2015 and debuted atop the Billboard 200.
Bryan became the first artist in chart history to have six number one singles from a single album with the hit “Kill the Lights”, which saw his six singles reach the top of the Billboard Country Airplay chart. “What Makes You Country”, Bryan’s sixth studio album, was released in December 2017.
