Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina – Beloved wife, mother and Mimi Susan Queen Stamper, of Batesburg-Leesville, passed away at her home on September 21, 2021 at the age of 58.
Born in Rock Hill, SC, she grew up in the community of Dentsville in Columbia, SC, she was the only daughter of Ken I. and Ruby Queen. She graduated from the Columbia campus of Midlands Technical College with two associate degrees; one in business accounting and the other in business management. She also graduated from Columbia College with a Bachelor of Business Administration. She was employed by Spherion Temporary Services at Dominion Energy as an accountant.
She is survived by her husband of 31 years, the Reverend Henry Stamper; her children, Corey (Carly) Stamper and Hailey Stamper (and her fiance, Richard Wright); his grandchildren, Ryland McKelvey and Arlo Stamper; her mother, Ruby Mars Queen, her brothers, Ken C. Queen, Rusty (Terri) Queen and Tim (Kymbra) Queen; her aunts, Sandra Williams, Beth Queen and Jackie Holmes.
She was predeceased by her father, Ken I. Queen; his uncles, John “Johnny” Williams Sr., Walter Queen, Melvin and Gordon Mars; his paternal grandparents, JD and Avie Queen; and her maternal grandparents, Jacob “Jake” & Thelma Mars.
She loved to do crafts, cook, sing, make missionary trips abroad to Moldova, decorate for the holidays -especially Christmas-, collect precious moments and spend time with her family as a âmomâ. and “Mimi”. She also enjoyed caring for her “bonus family” which consisted of Beth Greer, Bobbie Keith aka “Momma Duck”; and her additional children Michelle Moore, Christina Coley and Parker Riddick.
Susan will be fondly remembered for her love for her family and friends, her humor, her generosity, her encouragement and the warm hugs she gave to everyone.

A celebration of life service will be held at the First Baptist Church in Batesburg. The day and time of the service will be announced at a later date. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Historic BL Chapel will make arrangements.
