It’s certainly easier to be lazy, we’re all guilty of that, but Sarah admits she feels better when she works out and doesn’t find excuses. “I do everything I can whenever I can, but if I’m tired, it’s okay to be tired.” she says. “You know what’s really annoying, though? How much better I feel when I get up early enough to practice!”

“You can’t live your life to scale,” she says. “We don’t even have any at home. I never believed it, because your weight fluctuates. It’s more a question of the size of my clothes than a number. Besides, if you deny yourself everything because that you’re so focused on the mirror or the scales, so when do you enjoy life?”

Sarah prioritizes fresh, local organic ingredients that she often sources from Whole Foods. “People think it’s so expensive to eat like this, but there are ways to do it so it’s not so expensive,” she says. She likes seafood and a lot of sushi. “I don’t believe in trying to trick your body,” she said. “I eat healthy, I exercise, I love food, but I don’t like junk food. I mean, we’re women. We gain five pounds, we lose it, depending on the water, moon, your cycle, whatever. So I just try to maintain.”

Gellar says she likes plate fit, which is a HIIT workout using a Power Plate device. She says the half-hour workout will “challenge, strengthen and renew you” as it moves in 3 different directions. “The vibration activates your muscle reflexes, and during our training classes the muscles contract 30 to 40 times per second,” says the site.

Gellar actually liked to do most of her own stunts and could often be seen picking up workouts like kickboxing, gymnastics and martial arts, according to People. Now she enjoys doing TRX training, dance cardio, pilates, weight training, and yoga. With TRX, one study found “tthere were significant declines in the following areas:

  • Waist size
  • body fat percentage
  • Systolic blood pressure at rest
  • Diastolic blood pressure at rest

Combined, these improvements indicate a positive effect on body composition and cardiovascular health.”
