Reba McEntire announces Reba’s Place in Oklahoma
Reba McEntire is just full of surprises. Like his Christmas movie, Christmas in tune aired on Lifetime Friday night (November 26), the nation’s legend was in Durant, Oklahoma, performing on his show. It was around this time that the “Fancy” singer surprised audiences with an announcement regarding the opening of a new restaurant in Atoka, Oklahoma.
In partnership with the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma and the City of Atoka, Reba is bringing Reba’s Place, a new dining and entertainment venue, to her home state of Oklahoma. According to Rebas Place website, the new venue is “a restaurant, bar, concert hall and retail store hosted by country music superstar Reba McEntire.”
Reba shared the ad on Instagram, along with a video from her show in Oklahoma.
“Chief Gary Batton of the @choctawnationok Joined me on stage tonight at Durant, OK to make a special announcement, ”Reba wrote in the post. “I am very happy to announce the opening of Reba’s Place in Atoka, OK later in 2022! Reba’s Place is formed in partnership with the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma and the City of Atoka.
“We’re so excited here in Southeast Oklahoma, here in the Choctaw Nation to partner with Atoka, Oklahoma, by the way, thank you Atoka,” Batton said in the video. “But we’re teaming up with the greatest country singer of all time to bring Reba’s restaurant to Atoka, Oklahoma.”
Reba then shared his enthusiasm for the news. “We’re excited because it’s going to be right in downtown Atoka, it’s going to be called Reba’s Place and it’s going to be in the old Masonic building. You all know where it is if you’ve been to Atoka, ”Reba said, showing a rendering of the new location. “We’re really tickled, we’re very excited about it. There will be good food, a family atmosphere, a bandstand where we can do a little picking, smile and sing.
She continued, “We hope by the end of next year, around September 2022, around that time, that we’ll be ready to serve you guys to come see us.”
With two dining floors and a central stage, Reba’s Place will be the perfect place to catch live performances. The menu will include local Oklahoma specialties as well as a mix of Nashville, New Orleans and Mexican dishes including a ‘Fancy’ steak dinner, street tacos, chicken fried steak and Reba’s personal favorite, the pinto beans and cornbread. And to put you at ease, the bar will serve a wide range of beers, wines and spirits made in exclusive cocktails.
“We’re excited about that, so now everyone come over and have a burger with it, OK,” Reba told an excited crowd.
