Queen: It’s a bit magical on May 22!

Hit Australian music production Queen: It’s a bit magical returns to Canadian stages for a full national tour from May 4 to August 12, 2022.

Originally scheduled for 2020, the tour suffered several postponements due to global pandemic restrictions that crippled international travel and entertainment venues for more than two years. Now back on track for this summer, the tour will feature 36 shows across the country.

Queen: It’s a bit magical finally making its way to Sault Community Theater Center on Sunday May 22, 2022.

Director and producer Johnny Van Grinsven was pleasantly surprised by ticket sales so far:

“It’s been an incredibly tough year for our industry, and I thought it would take a lot longer for customer confidence to rebound, but Canadians have shown incredible support for the show, and now the cast is more excited as ever to get back on stage and put on a memorable show.

This will be the long-running production’s first Canadian tour since 2018 and the first visit with the new cast, including South African music prodigy Dominic Warren – an acclaimed singer and multi-instrumentalist and alumnus of the prestigious Drakensberg Boys Choir School. As “Freddie Mercury,” Warren takes on the enormous task of performing Queen’s greatest hits – all live on stage and in their original key – for up to six shows a week.

“I’m constantly studying Freddie – his mannerisms, movements and energy are super important, as well as musicality of course…but there will only ever be one Freddie, so rather than trying to be “I hope Freddie’s character shines in my performance and we do justice to his musical legacy, for his fans,” said Warren of his preparation for the role.

The tour promises to deliver the true Rock concert experience with all the spectacular lighting and effects of a major international production.

Tickets are available now through the venues’ websites or visit queenitsakindamagic.com for more information.
