Washington [US], Jan 23 (ANI): American singer-songwriter Kelly Clarkson has reached an agreement with her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock over their Montana ranch.
In new court documents recently filed in Los Angeles and obtained by People magazine, the “Stronger” singer has agreed to give the talent manager 5.12% of the property, or $908,800 of his total value of $17,750,000. .
The documents also clarified that Blackstock has no ownership interest in the property adjoining the ranch which Clarkson owns solely.
A Los Angeles County judge awarded Clarkson ownership of the ranch in October, but in December US Weekly reported that she had lost a legal fight to have Blackstock evicted from the property.
Blackstock previously maintained that the house was “marital property”, and he continued to live there even after he and Clarkson separated in 2020.
In July, ‘The Voice’ trainer was ordered to pay her ex-husband and former manager $200,000 a month in spousal and child support, although a source previously told People magazine that Blackstock asked for 436,000 USD per month.
Clarkson was officially declared single in August when a judge signed the legal dissolution of her marriage to Blackstock a year and three months after filing for divorce.
The star had asked the judge to declare her legally divorced in July, arguing that she and her ex “both deserve the opportunity to build a new life.” Clarkson was granted primary physical custody in November of their children River Rose and Remington Alexander.
“Kelly is more than fine. She’s doing great and looking forward. She appreciates that she has kids most of the time and enjoys spending time with them,” a source told People magazine in August. . (ANI)
