‘Festival of the Dead’ candlelit rock concert live in Swansea for Halloween

A spooky ‘candlelit rock band’ brings mind-blowing classics to Swansea for just one night this Halloween season.

The all-new Festival of the Dead show, a touring event described as “a multidimensional and immersive clubbing / circus experience that travels every year to major cities across the UK including London, Birmingham, Liverpool and Glasgow “, will be presented at Brangwyn Hall in Swansea on October 2, 2021.

The 13 musicians of the London Symphonic Rock Orchestra will perform hits from the greatest rock artists of the past four decades, including Metallica, Led Zeppelin, Rage Against the Machine, Linkin Park, Queens of the Stone Age, and more.

Musicians will be dressed in the style of the Day of the Dead celebrations in Mexico with skeleton-like makeup, costumes and huge stage props with the stage lit with candles.

The audience will be immersed in candlelight as the orchestra performs and are encouraged to ‘break those headbands, dust off your leather jackets and join us for an unforgettable evening as The Rock Orchestra takes you on a musical journey of the tears fist pompoms, with all-round singalongs “.

Nathan Reed, founder of the Festival of The Dead, said: “Our orchestra plays huge pieces of rock and metal paying homage to the golden age but also appealing to a whole new generation. We found something really special.

“The feedback has been incredible. Like most of us, we are really excited to see the return of live music and it has been extremely rewarding to be able to put on shows like this, especially as the industry is starting to pick up its strength.

“We are extremely excited for the future of The Rock Orchestra and look forward to seeing the show continue to be successful. “
