‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ star Stephanie Beatriz gives birth
Stephanie Beatriz has just won a new title: mamá.
The “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” star, 40, posted on Instagram on Sunday that she gave birth to her first child with a photo of the newborn in a car seat.
“BABY HAS ARRIVED,” Beatriz wrote next to the photo.
The Argentine-American actress then shared that she named her baby girl Rosaline, pronounced “Roz-uh-line”.
“I am very, very impressed with the whole experience of having a child,” Beatriz added. “It’s AMAZING and HARD AF and BEAUTIFUL and EMOTIONAL, and I can’t remember ever being so amazed and feeling so incredibly grateful. Roz, you are so cool.
Actress Yvette Nicole Brown sent her best wishes, commenting: “CONGRATULATIONS my friend !!! And welcome to the world of Rosaline!
Beatriz, who is best known for her role as Detective Rosa Diaz, welcomed her daughter with her husband Brad Hoss. The couple have been married since 2018.
Hoss, 39, shared on his Instagram that they brought Rosaline home last week and that it was a “wild, crazy and incredible adventure every step of the way.”
He also aptly captioned the photo of the baby in a car seat, “My Precious Cargo.”
Beatriz first revealed she was pregnant in a People article in June and admitted at the time, “I didn’t think a committed partnership was really for me.”
“I couldn’t really see children,” added the openly bisexual actress. “It’s not that I was closed to it. It was more that I couldn’t really see how a baby fit into the life I was building.
However, the “In The Heights” actress said her meeting with Hoss changed her perspective, but noted that her marriage did not make her “any less strange.”
“I was able to be my most complete and authentic self around Brad,” she said. “He is extremely empathetic and open.
Beatriz said she and Hoss are committed to raising a child who “understands that the way a person chooses to shape their glorious life is worth celebrating.”
