Brittany Aldean defends her article on children and gender in “Tucker Carlson Tonight”
Jason Aldean’s advertising company recently parted ways with the singer following statements his wife, Brittany Aldean, released about children and gender.
Originally Britain declared“I would really like to thank my parents for not changing my gender when I went through my tomboy phase. I love this life as a girl,” on her Instagram account before making additional comments on social media .
Following that post, several other country music stars weighed in on Brittany’s statements, including Cassadee Pope and Maren Morris. “You’d think celebrities with cutie marks would see the benefits of including LGBTQ+ people in their posts. But instead, we hear someone compare their ‘tomboy phase’ to someone wanting making the transition. Really nice,” Pope tweeted.
To defend her remarks, Brittany joined Tucker Carlson on Tucker Carlson tonight Thursday night and talked about her recent Barbie-inspired product “Don’t Tread On Our Kids.”
“I was extremely surprised,” Brittany said of the response to her statements. “I never thought there was anything wrong with [my statement]. I think I defend the children.
She added: “I think children should not be allowed to make these life-changing decisions at such a young age. They are not mature enough; they should have parents who love and defend them despite everything. We have ages on everything. We have it for cigarettes, driving, the army, voting… yet for some reason people think we can let a child choose their gender so young? It’s very disconcerting to me.
“People are entitled to their opinions. [But] we as conservatives find it difficult to have an opinion, especially in today’s society; in the media, in relationships and in the workplace,” she concluded.
Brittany currently has 2.3 million followers on her Instagram account, and she runs a clothing and merchandise business called Brittany & Kasi with her sister-in-law, Kasi. She is married to country singer Chuck Wicks.
“Instead of being twisted by the twisting of my words, I chose to derive good from them.” Brittany wrote about her new clothing series “Don’t Tread On Our Kids”.
