Brian May Announces Streaming of Queen and Paul Rodgers Ukraine Concert for Relief Today | Music | Entertainment

Upon hearing the news of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Queen legend Brian May posted on social media: “To all of our dear Ukrainian friends, we are shocked, horrified, saddened that your beautiful country has been invaded and your life is in danger. We send love and our prayers. And one day we will rock together again. Br. Guitarist and drummer Roger Taylor has played Queen with Paul Rodgers and Adam Lambert in the past and now they’re making their 2008 live show in Kharkiv available to stream on YouTube today for Ukraine Relief.

Both Brian and Roger have posted on their Instagram that the recording of Queen and Paul Rodgers Live in Ukraine will be available in the UK on the band’s official YouTube channel at 17:00 GMT today.

The rock duo shared, “Queen + Paul Rodgers: Live In Ukraine 2008. YouTube Special. Fundraising for Ukraine Relief. In September 2008, Queen + Paul Rodgers responded to a call from Ukraine’s Elena Pinchuk’s ANTIAIDS Foundation to reach out to young people across the country with the message Don’t Let AIDS Ruin Your Life by playing a free AIDS awareness concert Life Must Go On in the historic district of Kharkiv. Place de la Liberté to more than 350,000 live spectators and more than 10 million viewers.
