Absent Friends & Heroes songs
The list of great and beloved songwriters that we have lost recently, and over the past year, is long. All of them dreamed of writing songs that would survive them, and all of them were successful. Some are known and loved around the world beyond our community of songwriters; some are not but loved by those of us who knew them, did concerts with them, and more. All of them touched us with their spirit and their songs; All of them are missed all the time. The world without them is not the same.
Yet their minds survive as the songwriter intended, in the songs they wrote and recorded and left behind.
These songs are shared today In the melodious memory of our friends and fellow songwriters, with love and gratitude.
